It doesn't seem possible but it has been five years since we first opened the fiber studio!  It has been a lovely adventure!  I have learned so much and met such wonderful people.  Looking forward to the next five years with great anticipation.

Please come see us!  I have some fresh Gotland yarn in a sweet fingering weight - dyed and natural- as well some lovely roving, pelts and fleeces.  I have felting supplies, knitting needles, crochet hooks, patterns and books.    Hand sanitizer at the ready!
Call ahead to schedule your visit.

Yarn Festival Season is Here

4/18/2019

Spring on the farm brings mud, lambs, and wool festivals.  This year I will be vending at CT Sheep and Wool Fest in Tolland CT, at New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival and at New England Sheep and Wool at the Big E.  In between I will be manning the Gotland Breed display at The New York State Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck New York.  Please come meet the Gotland Sheep, buy some farm raised yarn and support your local yarn farmers.

We have 16 lambs this year, bouncing around on their little springy legs.   Photos coming soon.  I will have rams and ewes for sale once they are weaned.  Beautiful fleeces on these inquisitive, easy-keeping sheep.  Spinners dream sheep!

Spring Again!

Well it has been over a year since I last posted!  Life has a way of interfering with my best intentions!  We continue to raise Gotland sheep and love the breed more than ever.  This spring we used our new Gotland Ram Charlie.  He came from Oregon and he has a gorgeous fleece.  He bred 14 ewes and we have 27 lambs dashing around the pasture!  Well done, Charlie!

We have a nice variety of Gotland yarn and roving for sale.  I have been experimenting with overdying the fleeces with good results.  I plan to have the store open for regular hours this summer - once Lacrosse season is over and we are out of school for the summer.

Lots of Gotland lambs will be for sale.  Come meet the babies and pick your your pair!

Happy New Year!

The holidays have come and gone and we enjoyed relaxed time with family and friends.  The wooly girls are getting big in the belly and we are excited to see what the spring brings us for lambs!

We have pounds and pounds of fleece at the mill being processed into yarn, roving and core spun rug weft.  Can't wait to see how all that comes out!

Weaving classes have begun - we've done 3 one on one lessons with great results!  Check out photos on our facebook page!  We'll be posting the new weaving schedule class soon.

I'm also hoping to start spinning lessons.  I have two learning wheels at the studio  - come by and try them out!

Wishing you blessings of peace and contentment in the New Year! ...Amy
